NEW KNOWLEDGE AND PRODUCTs
A new world of products and resources
By David Ho
Unios tackled 2018 with a thirst for innovation and a desire to explore new knowledge; in both design and education. The result of this appetite was our first white paper covering horticultural lighting, which was supported by the Flo Series.
Tackling the growing market of horticultural lighting with LEDs explored the success behind growing green walls with an exact science, and provided knowledge and the right tools for readers to cultivate successful indoor plant environments. The release of our first white paper was a major success and further provided Unios with the opportunity to educate while supporting our own studies with product innovation.
Education and product innovation will continue to be top of mind for the engineering team at Unios, with a range of white papers and resources on the horizon.
Book design is the art of incorporating the content, style, format, design, and sequence of the various components of a book into a coherent whole. In the words of Jan Tschichold, "methods and rules upon which it is impossible to improve, have been developed over centuries. To produce perfect books, these rules have to be brought back to life and applied."
Front matter, or preliminaries, is the first section of a book, and is usually the smallest section in terms of the number of pages. Each page is counted, but no folio or page number is expressed, or printed, on either display pages or blank pages.
To provide more flexibility in pathway lighting, the Cuadro Wall Light can now be configured as a wider interpretation of a pathway luminaire. To further align our product range with our universal light philosophy, we have developed a number of new luminaires ranging from recessed ceiling lights to our first foray into entirely new categories such as handrail lighting. The Compass Inground Series, Pilot Handrail Light and Link Recessed Wall Light signifies a major step forward in providing end-to-end solutions for outdoor architectural spaces. Each of these luminaires work independently and as a cohesive whole to bring outdoor spaces to life with ease.

As we enter into the new year, you can expect to see the release of all new luminaires in the first quarter
of 2019. Education and product innovation will continue to be top of mind for the engineering team at Unios, with a range of white papers and resources on the horizon. We look forward to sharing more in the coming months.
